Sunday Scaries Vol. 1

Boo!!! It’s time for another week of getting healthier!

Eating cleaner and sleeping well this week has definitely had some positive effects. I’ve had more energy, more mental clarity and I’ve felt more outgoing. I’ve been planning, making lists and tracking lots of things. This seems to work for me really well.

It’s been interesting that I haven’t had any cravings for fast food or burgers or anything. I have been taking care of my salty crunchy cravings with sweet potato fries (in the air fryer) here and there. I also accidentally bought half-bags of microwave popcorn which seem to be a decent size. Haha.

I haven’t really been restricting things too hard but I have been tracking all my calories and keeping an eye on things. It hasn’t really been that hard to keep under my calorie goal so far. I assume that’s being helped by the fact that things are new and exciting. I’ve been eating a lot of eggs and chicken breast, probably not enough veg and I’ve been eating some fruit. I’ve had bread and half fat mayo, and I made spaghetti on Friday. I assume at some point I’ll get sick of those so last night I started making a list of some new dishes to try. I also made a list of dishes I usually make that are decent calories wise. I’m thinking maybe I’ll start trying one new recipe each week to keep things interesting.

I have been weighing myself most days, which I know some people think can become problematic. For now it’s helping so I’m going to roll with it. I also have a fairly good grasp on how fluctuations occur and are natural. For example I knew that the day after I ate spaghetti i was going to be up some weight from all the salt etc.due to water weight. Especially because the day before I ate really clean so I was problem lower on the scale than I actually was.

I’ve also been trying to drink a lot of water as well. Diet Coke is not a hydration drink! Haha

Well, I’m kinda starting to think it might be time to work on the next phase of the plan? We’ll see…
